I've been keeping busy, taking good care of my health, being a good girl and following my doctor's orders to the letter so I can get better as soon as humanly possible. I'm also incredibly happy to be able to enjoy my son's company as much as I can before he goes away to summer camp next week for 21 days and then right back to school. I'm ever so grateful that this year summer in NYC is amazingly pleasant and gentle allowing me to take long walks in Central Park and enjoying sitting under the cooling shade of a tree, reading or sketching while Jack has lots of fun skateboarding or swimming.
I'm fortunate enough to have been able to come to my brother's place today so I can post some art I've created recently. A few days ago I just had this incredible urge to paint some fantasy art and I just started making one ATC/ACEO after another till I've finished twelve in one go! And I would have carried on making more if it weren't for the pain in my wrist plus the fact that I couldn't even see straight anymore. It was about four o'clock in the morning and I had been painting for over six hours non-stop. But heavens, did I have a blast!!! It was so much fun to create what I call my Rainbow Girlz and they were all done on Crescent Cold Pressed Illustration Board with Prismacolor Markers, Winsor and Newton Drawing Inks, Faber-Castell Polychromos Colored Pencils and glittering accents with gel pens and metallic acrylic inks. Hope you like them.
Oh well, my darlings, hopefully I'll be back at my brother's soon so I can post all the pet portraits I've finished in the past few weeks as well as the tutorial on how to use the Icarus Drawing Board.
Much love, many hugs and know that I miss you all very much and that you're always in my thoughts and prayers.
xoxo
