"VETIVER"

Hello again my sweeties. As promised earlier, here's a little update on the green eyed cat I started a few days ago. I didn't really do much today since I only had a limited amount of time to work on this cutie pie. There are maybe 5 or 6 extra layers of fur since the last photo I posted, the eyes and the tip of the nose are almost finished and the background is done. I call this pretty puss "Vetiver" and she is being painted on a 7"X9" sheet of U-Art Sanded Pastel Paper 600 grit (looooove this support!!!) with Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils and Art Stix as well as Faber-Castell Polychromos Colored Pencils and and one layer of Faber-Castell Pitt Pastel Pencils and another of Prismacolor Nupastels and, of course, my amazing Icarus Drawing Board.

That's all for tonite, gotta cook dinner, clean up the kitchen and get ready for my primetime shows. Nite, nite everyone.

Hugs,
Jade

Hi Jade. This is really looking good. Love those eyes. A very interesting combination of medium.

Hi Dors, thanks for your comment. As for mixing pastels and cps, I'm liking it more and more by the day. The pastels just give such quick coverage in the first layers it saves a load of time.

Hugs,
Jade
