"THE SPELLBINDING CALL OF LORELEI"

After I finished my little anjou pear, I decided to play a little more with my wonderful Icarus Board. I'm using a combination of Faber-Castell Pitt Pastel Pencils and Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils to paint this majestic tiger on a sand colored 8"X10" sheet of Canson Mi-Teintes pastel paper. Here's how far I've gotten for the day, more to come tomorrow.

Oh, I'm loving my Icarus Board sooooo much, I can't stay away from it for too long!!! I should be having dinner, cleaning up the kitchen and getting ready to go to bed, but I have a feeling I won't be able to sleep. The call of my Icarus will be too loud to ignore during the wee hours and I know, I just know that I will return to the studio when everyone's asleep and there's nary a sound in the quiet of the night (except for the call of my Icarus) and work some more on this prince of all felines.

You know, come to think of it, the call is more like a siren's song, luring me to its arms. Even if you all think I'm crazy, I will name my Icarus Board Lorelei, from the german legend of the beautiful mermaid whose singing was so spellbinding, no sailor could resist the allure of her call, and they all drowned after diving to their deaths following her celestial singing. That's it, from now on I shall call my Icarus Board "Lorelei".

Nite, nite and many hugs, and don't worry, I might be crazy but I don't bite!!!
