"SINGING WITH ALL MY HEART...IN JAPANESE!!!!!"

Hello my luvs, ever so sorry I've been MIA for the past couple of days. I've unearthed an old friend - my sewing machine - whom I hadn't seen in a very long time, and of course, because of that long hiatus, it took me a while to get re-acquainted with Ms. Singer. Anyways, I've been having tons of fun making fabric and paper flowers for my handmade cards, as well as sewing the card stock and scrapbook paper as well. I forgot how much I love to sew. I'm just having a total blast!!! And the other day I found this big chunky bag of christmassy buttons and other small bits and bobs in the dollar store for guess how much??? One dollar, of course!!!!!! Now, that's what I call a sooper dooper great find!!!

What else have I been up to? Oh, yeah. The other day I was browsing YouTube for whatever interesting art stuff I could find and I came upon this little 9 y.o. girl, Olivia, who's not only an incredibly talented artist but what impressed me the most was the fact that she's unbelievably eloquent for her age and she has a very solid understanding of her craft and she explains it beautifully, in a way that would put to shame many grown-up artists. You guys have to check her out, she's truly amazing, plus you get to learn something new! Here's the link to the incredible Oli at Oliart, How to Make a Felt Flower: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6cALKnFKp7o

Another thing I found on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tcd_zBmNv_o One of my favorite Christmas songs and christian hymns, if not "THE" favorite one is "Gloria in Excelsis Deo". I love the traditional one, sang at church, Midnight Christmas Eve Mass and Christmas Day Mass. It always fills my heart with the most divine and absolute joy. However, I also happen to love any and every version of this most beautiful music. So, every Christmas, I look for the darling of the the year. I look for a version I never heard before, something different to add to my vast collection of versions. And so it happens that I found this season's very early indeed, and it is quite unusual, since it's in japanese, and wow, I love it. The singer's voice is soft and delicate like a velvety rose petal and the beat is fast and happy, you can't help but start moving your feet, your body just want to dance in joy, at least mine does! I'm playing it over and over as I type!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hugs,
Jade
